LIKE THE HEART OF GOD

Like the Heart of God // 1 Samuel (Part 2)

In a world of influencers, celebrity, power, and wealth, it is easy to be impressed by the external and to desire these things for ourselves. But ways of humans are not the ways of the Lord. After the Lord rejects Saul as king, Samuel is instantly drawn to the next best (tallest and attractive) thing. In response, God makes it very clear to Samuel that the things that humans are drawn to are not the ways of the Lord––whereas we tend to look at the external, God looks at the heart. Join us as we explore the second half of 1 Samuel and the rise of David who would become the king after God's own heart that would point the nations to the better king to come.
